Tottenham in US 2015 Summer Exhibition Games
In recent years, English Premier League Exhibition Games have become a summer tradition in the US. Soccer fans in the US enjoy seeing these popular teams play live and in person. The Teams come here during their pre-season (their regular season is Fall to Spring) to play MLS teams who are active in their regular season to get some quality play in with different teams. They enjoy the modern stadiums and the enthusiasm of our fans.
MLS teams welcome the chance to play some of the top Premier League teams to broaden their experience and promote US soccer to a broader fan base. Often these games are called Freindlys as in a friendly match that does not count.
Manchester City and Liverpool will not be here in 2015, and Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona are participating in the Guinness International Champions Cup USA,
but Tottenheim Hotspur FC will be here in the USA for at least two games. The Tottenham Hotspur FC, or Spurs, were founded in 1882 in the Tottenham section of North London and have has won major trophies at least once in the past 60 years, including two league championships and eight FA Cups. Look for MLS All-Stars vs. Tottenham Hotspur FC on Wednesday, July 29 in Colorado Rapids home park Dicks Sporting Goods Park.
Other European teams playin in the US are TBA
The Seattle Sounders and their supporters have developed quite a good reputation with these Premier League teams, so have gotten to the point where they hold a Friendly each season, in fact they hosted seven Friendlies in the past five season.
The Chicago Fire continue to demonstrate their commitment to US Soccer and bringing global teams to Chicago is a great way to expand their fan base as Loyal Spurs Supporters will travel for the chance to see their team in person.
